Part of the Product Marketing team for Mailchimp, are seeking a seasoned people manager with strong strategic skills, seamless cross-functional partnerships and executive-level influence, inspiring data-driven customer empathy and a bent for speed in action and results. As the Mailchimp leader for inbound and outbound product marketing for a portfolio of core user features (including Email, SMS, Forms, and Social), you will develop go-to-market plans for the portfolio of Mailchimp products and manage a team of subject matter experts.

We’re looking for a forward thinking self-starter who has experience translating customer insights into strong marketing plans, with a reputation as a multiplying leader and talent magnet. You’ll be challenged to think boldly, move fast, and have a big impact on our customers’ lives, their livelihoods, and the Mailchimp brand trajectory.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 3-5 marketers developing go-to-market plans for the Mailchimp’s advanced feature product portfolio
  • Develop deep customer insights, product expertise and competitive intelligence to inform a segmentation strategy, develop winning product positioning, and influence the product roadmap to deliver on the biggest customer needs
  • Own the business outcomes and communicate regular updates to leadership through ongoing forecasting, reporting and root cause analyses
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams spanning marketing, product, design, analytics, legal, strategy, sales and customer success
  • Actively analyze data to generate insights and make informed decisions that drive business results
  • Build a high-performing, development culture by building go-to-market best practices, capabilities, and up-leveling the team’s marketing craft
  • Set and manage the strategic priorities for the team

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of business experience leading marketing strategy development and cross-functional execution, with 3+ years managing direct reports
  • Marketing software experience preferred
  • Strong Product Marketing Craft and a demonstrated ability to develop the capability in others
  • Strong influencing and communications skills across all levels up to executive
  • Track record of being a multiplier and talent steward, building highly performing teams
  • Experience using deep customer insight and data to inform segmentation, targeting and positioning, and translating strategy into product roadmaps and actionable,

  • Ability to prioritize and make strategic choices, specifically narrowing from a range of opportunities to highest-impact levers, balancing short and long term business outcomes
  • Ability to identify big insights by synthesizing inputs from multiple data sources to unlock growth opportunities and developing the business cases and activation plans to support
  • Strong creative problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, visual/presentation and interpersonal communication skills; storyteller

  • Strong results orientation and decision making skills
  • BA/BS required or equivalent work experience, MBA preferred
  • Experience with small business a plus

Ó£»¨¶¯Âþ provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Bay Area California $201,000 - 271,000. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at . Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
