We are seeking a dynamic and experienced communicator to lead executive and employee communications as part of Ó£»¨¶¯Âþ’s communications team. This leader will be responsible for driving best-in-class internal communications programs that inform, engage, and galvanize Ó£»¨¶¯Âþ’s employees around the most critical priorities of our People and Places organization. The role requires a strategic thinker with excellent writing and storytelling skills, deep business acumen, and operational rigor to deliver innovative, end-to-end communications strategies that achieve business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement innovative, thoughtful communications programs that successfully drive outcomes for critical priorities of the People & Places (P&P) organization.
- Lead high impact projects which will positively engage P&P employees and accelerate progress against outcomes, including driving the content strategy and execution for 6 All Hands events per year.
- Determine an optimal content and channel strategy to effectively reach and engage employees across internal platforms.
- Leverage creative and visual storytelling to breakthrough and serve an array of comprehension styles among Ó£»¨¶¯Âþ’s employee population.
- Serve as a trusted partner and subject matter expert to stakeholders in P&P to develop and support a broad range of communications initiatives and events.
- Collaborate across the communications organization to contribute to critical initiatives and mission-based teams that accelerate the organization’s collective impact.
- Drive data-backed communications strategies by measuring, testing, and deriving insights that enable us to deliver on our outcomes.
- Monitor industry trends and bring outside-in perspectives that enable us to continuously innovate and move our communications programs forward.
Qualifications
- Significant experience (10+years) in communications, ideally within the technology sector.
- Ability and eagerness to travel to Ó£»¨¶¯Âþ sites, including our MTV HQ regularly.
- Strong business acumen - ability to translate strategic information into clear and concise messages.
- Excellent writing and storytelling skills, with a very high bar for quality and strong attention to detail.
- A progressive approach to communications, with an appetite to embrace existing and emerging tools and technologies to engage employees in the most relevant and impactful ways.
- A reputation for being a self-starter, innovative, enthusiastic, and intellectually curious. Willingness and ability to act as a change agent and offer and advance a data-driven point of view.
- Ability to develop and effectively manage strong working relationships with leaders and partners at all levels of an organization.

Ó£»¨¶¯Âþ provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Bay Area California $184,500 - 249,500, Southern California $174,000 - 235,500. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at . Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
