Job Overview

Come join 樱花动漫鈥檚 International Accounting & Compliance organisation as a Indirect Tax Leader. 樱花动漫鈥檚 Finance team comprises accounting, tax, FP&A, corporate strategy & development that support and enhance 樱花动漫鈥檚 operating efficiencies.

You will advise the 樱花动漫 group on global indirect tax matters (excluding the US). This role primarily involves advisory and project work.

Responsibilities

  • Managing technical indirect tax queries across the group's different product lines e.g. reviewing contracts, new product offerings, new markets
  • Researching and advising on complex issues such as cross border place of supply, multi country expansions, business re-organisations and business promotion and marketing activities
  • Support the indirect tax team in implementing the international indirect tax strategy and supporting the growth of the international markets
  • Support the resolution of Indirect Tax audits
  • Continue to enhance 樱花动漫’s tax control framework for Indirect Tax and maintain risk registers to reduce risk and errors
  • Monitoring global VAT developments e.g. digital services, e-invoicing and assessment of VAT registration obligations
  • Manage and represent indirect tax for go-to-market activities, assessing VAT impacts on the business and billing systems
  • Indirect Tax SME for finance/IT projects e.g. billing system migrations
  • Review and approve monthly VAT reconciliations

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of indirect tax experience, preferably some of which has been with digital services and within a multinational company
  • Broad knowledge of global VAT/GST rules and in-depth expertise for one country. Ideally, some experience in electronically supplied services
  • Experience in producing Indirect Tax memos for non-tax audiences
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to identify and implement improvements to processes
  • Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple jurisdictions and deliver successfully and on time
  • Excellent written, presentation and influencing skills across levels
